Sharing, love for one’s neighbor, and solidarity are not just empty words for the Fifaliana Indray Association. This May 2026, our team visited the Manankavaly leprosarium. Our mission? To provide practical support, as well as a message of hope and dignity to 18 families going through difficult times.

This day will remain engraved in our hearts as a moment of pure fellowship, where light came to drive away darkness, both literally and figuratively.

Meeting Essential Needs: Material Support

To relieve the daily hardships of these 18 families, we arrived with our hands full of provisions and essential supplies. Thanks to the generosity of our partners and donors, we were able to distribute targeted food and logistical aid:

• 2 bags of rice (50 kg each)
• 18 kg of sugar
• 18 packs of macaroni
• 18 cans of sardines
• 36 packs of biscuits (to bring a little sweetness)
• 18 packs of candles
• 18 liters of oil

Light for the Future: Installing Solar Kits

In addition to food aid, we wanted to provide a sustainable solution to energy isolation. 3 families benefited from 3 complete solar kits.

Each kit is a true promise of autonomy and safety for these households, including:

• 3 solar panels (1 per family)
• 3 solar generators
• 6 light bulbs (2 per family)

Beyond the Material: A Spiritual and Imperishable Food

While feeding the body and lighting up homes is essential, we know that the human soul needs just as much comfort. That is why this visit did not stop at the distribution of material goods. We had the privilege of bringing a spiritual and imperishable food to the residents of Manankavaly: the Word of God.

“Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds out of the mouth of God.”

This moment of intense and deeply touching spiritual fellowship was made possible thanks to the guidance and inspiring messages of Reverend Adi Rusu, Reverend Radu Zdrențan, and Evangelist Lucas Tomuta. Their prayers and exhortations warmed hearts, reminding each resident that they are precious in the eyes of the Creator.

📢Call for Solidarity: Let’s Bring Light to 3 More Families!

The project does not stop here. While we were able to bring light to 3 households, 3 other families in the community are still desperately waiting to come out of the darkness.

To fully meet their needs, we are launching an urgent appeal to your generosity. The total cost to purchase these 3 complete solar kits (including 3 generators, 6 light bulbs, and 3 panels) amounts to approximately 3,000,000 Ar (about €600 or $650).

Every gesture, every donation, no matter how small, will help transform the daily lives of these people and offer them the safety and light they deserve.
